"일을 하지 아니할지라도 경건치 아니한 자를 의롭다 하시는 이를 믿는 자에게는 그의 믿음을 의로 여기시느니라."

"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness."

 Most people today believe that the way to be saved is to "BE GOOD."
오늘날 대부분의 사람들은 구원받기 위한 방법은 "선하게 되는 것(착하게 사는 것)"이라고 믿는다.

They believe and teach that salvation is earned by being good (according to whatever standards of "good" that they have).
그들은 구원은 선을 행함으로써 획득된다고 믿고 가르친다(그들이 갖고있는 "선"의 기준이 무엇이든 간에 그에 따라서).

Romans 4:5 teaches that the way to be saved is not to be good but it is to believe. None of us could be "good enough" to measure up to God’s holy and perfect standard of goodness.
로마서 4장 5절 말씀은 구원받는 길은 선하게 되는 것이 아니라 믿는 것이라고 가르친다.

"Lord, I am not good. I am not right. I am not holy. I am not righteous. I am a guilty, helpless, hopeless sinner. My only hope is to come to a gracious and merciful God. I believe in Your Son, the Lord Jesus Christ and that He shed His blood for me and paid sin's penalty in full. I'm trusting You to save me and to make me the person I need to be. I can be good, but only through Your saving grace!"

"주님, 저는 선하지 않습니다. 저는 바르지 않습니다. 저는 거룩하지 않습니다. 저는 의롭지 않습니다. 저는 죄를 범하였으며,  스스로는 어떻게도 할 수 없으며, 희망없는 죄인입니다. 저의 유일한 희망은 은혜로우시고 긍휼이 많으신 하나님께로 나가는 것입니다. 저는 당신의 아들, 주 예수 그리스도와 그분께서 저를 위해 자신의 피를 흘리시고 죄의 값을 완전히 지불하셨음을 믿습니다. 저는 당신께서 저를 구원해 주셨으며 저를 존재할 필요가 있는 사람으로 만들어 주셨음을 신뢰하고 있습니다. 저는 당신의 구원하시는 은혜를 통해서만 선하게 될 수 있습니다!"

"To him that worketh not" -- When a person is not working he is resting!
"일을 하지 않는 그에게"-- 어떤 사람이 일을 하지 않고 있을 때 그는 안식하고 있는 것이다!

 Salvation (justification) is not working, but it is RESTING upon the work of Another (the finished work of Christ on the cross -- John 19:30). 구원(의롭게 됨)은 일을 하지 않는 것이다, 그러나 다른 사람(십자가에서 그리스도께서 마치신 일)이 행한 일을 의지하여 안식하는 것이다. -- 요한복음 19:30)

The believer’s faith in Christ is counted (credited) for righteousness (just as was the case with Abraham -- verse 3).
그리스도안에 있는 믿는 자의 믿음은 의로 간주됩(여겨집니다)니다(아브라함의 경우에 그러했던 것처럼--로마서 4:3).

Many people are not saved because they do not see themselves as UNGODLY, and thus they do not see a need to be saved. 많은 사람들이 자신들을 불경건한 사람들로 보지 않기 때문에 구원받지 못한다, 따라서 그들은 구원받을 필요가 있는 사람으로 보지 않는다.

We need to see ourselves as God does.

우리는 우리 자신들을 하나님께서 보시는 것처럼 볼 필요가 있다.

Thus in Romans 4:4-5 there is a great contrast between those who WORK and those who DO NOT WORK (believers).
이와같이 로마서 4장 4-5절 말씀에는 일을 하는 사람들과 일을 하지 않는 사람들(믿는 자들) 사이에 큰 대조가 있다.

There is a heaven/hell difference between the two groups.
그 두 무리들 사이에는 천국/지옥의 차이가 있다.

 All the religious people of the world (including all of the cults and "isms") can be described by the little word "DO."
세상의 모든 종교적인 사람들(모든 종류의 이단과 "주의"를 포함한)은 작은 단어 "하라"에 의해서 설명되어질 수 있다.

This one word sums up their religion of works.
이 한 개의 단어는 그들의 행위의 종교를 한 마디로 요약해 주는 것이다.

They are trying to do this and to do that to earn acceptance with God.
그들은 하나님께 받아들여지기 위하여 이것을 하고 저것을 하려고 노력하고 있다.

 Biblical Christianity (God’s way of salvation) can be summed up by the one word "DONE!"
성경적인 기독교(하나님의 구원의 방법)는 "다 마친"이라는 하나의 단어로 요약될 수 있다!

"I rest my soul completely upon what Jesus Christ has DONE on the cross for me!"
"나는 나의 혼을 예수 그리스도께서 나를 위해 십자가에서 다 이루신 일에 의지해서 완전하게 안식한다!"
